Yes. VoidShare uses AES-256, a military-grade encryption standard. The entire encryption and decryption process happens locally in your web browser. Your private key (password) and your files are never sent to any server, ensuring complete privacy.
For "Long Links", your encrypted file data is encoded directly into the link itself. For "Short Links / QR Codes", the encrypted data is stored temporarily on a secure Supabase server. In both cases, we never see your unencrypted file or your password.
For "Long Links", very large files (>100MB) can create URLs that are too long for some browsers. For "Short Links", the limit is much higher and depends on the backend service's free plan (usually several hundred MB).

VoidShare is committed to protecting your privacy. Our service is designed from the ground up to be private and secure. We do not collect, store, or track any personal data from our users.
No Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details like your name or email address. We do not use cookies or track your IP address.
Client-Side Encryption: All file encryption and decryption happens directly in your web browser using the standard Web Crypto API (AES-256-GCM). Your password (encryption key) is never transmitted to our servers or seen by us.
Data Handling: When you create a "Short Link", the encrypted file data is temporarily stored on our secure Supabase backend. This data is an unreadable block of encrypted text without the correct password. We do not have access to the unencrypted contents of your files.
By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the content of the files you choose to encrypt and share.
